Choosing the Name
Our final film title is 'Two Left Feet'.
We chose this as it relates to the theme but is also a common idiom. This makes the title more catchy and effective.

Title Sequence
For our title sequence we used white text in the font Helvetica Neue with the text effect Soft Edge. We decided this gave a proffesional look without being to strong like Time New Roman can sometimes seem. As the font is more rounded it can appear more soft and fun. Having the text all in white makes it visible but not overpowering and stops it clashing with the footage running behind it.
Our opening is similar to Skyfall's opening. We liked how Skyfall has a modern song playing with muted footage and no dialogue, Skyfall is also an action film and this is why we saw similarities although our film is more of a comedy. We also like how the Skyfall opening introduces the protagonist and theme just through the opening, however, Skyfall is more abstract with it's opening and uses computerized effects. As A-Level students we don't have the ability to create the same level of computerized imaging as professionals so we used footage we filmed instead. The font we used is similar to Skyfall and they too used white text which acknowledges our idea that the font we used has a professional appearance.

Writing on the Wall
When we were writing up our initial ideas we wanted one of our titles to be slanted on a wall. We found the only way to do this was to use Photoshop and then overlapping it.
Problems we encountered:
Problems we encountered:
- We couldn't get it to flow with the wall
- It wasn't quite at the right slant
- It was very time consuming to make
- As it was overlapped from Photoshop we couldn't add any tittle effects
The last point is also a reason why we couldn't make one of our changes. We wanted to move one of the titles down so it wasn't covering the ball.
In imovie you cannot move the text boxes so our other option would be to overlap one made in Photoshop, this however removes our ability to add the effect to it and we wanted all our titles to have the same effect. This meant we had to leave the title as it was.

Final - Two Left Feet
The Final version of Two Left Feet
I am very proud of our final video and it had very good feedback, unfortunately not all our changes could have been made due to the software we were using but overall I think this film opening is very successful and brilliant for the audience we were aiming for with the comedic aspect.
Here is a feedback video of audience reactions to our opening

Clothing
When deciding on the outfit for our protagonist we went for a sporty look as it reflects her love for football and Arsenal.
When she was just practicing football we used a basic athletic attire. We also incorporated shots with her wearing a coat showing she would play football in any kind of weather.

However, on game day we decided it would be better if she was wear Arsenal merchindise like her t-shirt and scarf. This is how the audience can identify that Arsenal is the team she supports.

First Draft
This is our first draft of our film opening.
Looking at this we could see that the production company needs to be changed as it looks like part of the film, titles need to be longer, the title of the film needs to be bigger and moved to the bottom of the screen and that one of the titles was not white like all the others.

After these changes have been made we should have a complete final edit of our film opening.

Summary Of Our Film
If our opening was made into an actual film we decided that the premises would be that our protagonist is very passionate about football but is incredibly rubbish at it. She is a massive Arsenal fan and attends all their games to support them. The opening shows exactly how passionate about the sport she is. The film will the continue to show the harsh reality she has to face to pursue her dream of ever becoming a professional player from having to improve her skills, her parents discouragement and the negativity surrounding women footballers. However, when just about everyone has given up on her and she has almost given up on herself she goes to the stadium for her final time as she prepares to leave her childish dream behind her. It's here that she meets Dara O'Briain again and he gives her the encouragement she needs to go on pursuing a dream linked with football. It then ends with an Arsenal game, commentated by the protagonist.

Editing Colour
Durning the editing process I noticed who some of the colours in the clips were dull which is not what we want as we want our film to be upbeat, fun and colourful.

Although the changes are very small between the before and after pictures, the whole opening has benefited from the extra colour in it and has a happier feel throughout.

Film Rating
For our opening we needed to decided on a rating for the film based on the BBFC guidlines.
Our film rating will be 'U' as the film will be family friendly. There will be no use of bad language or any inappropriate scenes such as violence or scenes of a sexual nature. We want our film to be able to be watched by family members of all ages as our film is to be a feel-good film which contains a lovable protagonist with a funny story line.

Back to work
After being off ill for a few weeks it was good to be back with my group to catch up on their progress. After thinking up even more possible soundtracks for our opening they agreed on The Kooks - She Moves in Her Own Way:
I completely agree with this choice as is reflects the fun character of our protagonist and is also very upbeat and recognizable which will fit perfectly.
We also went out filming to get some more football shots for our montage as we had previously changed the concept of our opening and wanted our protagonist to be bad at football instead of good.
It's good to see the progress of my group and it's good to be back so we can get the final editing done and produce the best opening we can. All is looking well so far.
